For Nature Nurture we are collaborating with The Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
The core draws from the embeddedness of the
residency and the status (tentative status) and protection of nature, and by this the plane of
existence and its impact on living and life where the notion of responsibility plays it course. The
artistic exploration of responsibility can be seen through metaphysical philosophy and through a working group of artists. First week introductory excursions, walk and talks and joint reading session. Presentation towards the end of September of work (or wip).

In the northern archipelago of Stockholm one fnds the island Björkö, where artists and the local community initiated BKN studio spaces in 2020. Originally set out as a project to create studio space, it soon also came to include a residence program, artist presentations, art education, screenings and exhibitions.
The
exhibition program at BKN goes by the name HYBRID. It is a
transformative, dynamic space for art engaging with aspects of life and
nature. From its core HYBRID extends to using segments of the larger
studio spaces, the yard and at times other specific sites indoors and
outdoors on or off the island.
